G42 chairman Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s new Abu Dhabi home was completely designed using 500 ChatGPT prompts, according to G42 CEO Peng Xiao, who revealed the innovative approach at Gitex Global 2025. The Japanese-style compound by the sea was completed in less than a year, showcasing how AI is becoming integral to daily operations across the UAE’s business leadership.

The future of AI-driven design has arrived in Abu Dhabi, where G42 chairman Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s stunning new home was entirely designed through artificial intelligence. Speaking at Gitex Global 2025, G42 Group CEO Peng Xiao revealed the remarkable details of this groundbreaking project during a conversation with OpenAI’s Sam Altman.

“If you ever get a chance to visit the new home of my chairman, you will be witnessing this beautiful Japanese architecture compound by the sea in Abu Dhabi,” Xiao explained. “The entire design was done with him personally prompting ChatGPT 500 times to design this home.”

“The reason why it was so fast in delivery is because the entire design was done with him personally prompting ChatGpt 500 times to design this home.”

The Japanese-style compound was constructed in less than one year, demonstrating unprecedented efficiency in architectural planning and execution. This achievement highlights how AI automation systems are transforming traditional industries across the UAE.

AI Agents Replace Human Staff

Beyond residential design, Sheikh Tahnoun has revolutionized his office operations through AI integration. Xiao revealed that the chairman maintains a 10-to-1 ratio of AI agents to human employees in his workplace, representing a dramatic shift in business operations.

“If you visit the office of my chairman, you won’t see too many employees, because there is a 10 to one ratio of AI agents working in his office,” Xiao stated. “The future is here today, if your home is designed by ChatGPT, if you have more agents working for you than humans.”

UAE’s AI-Native Society Vision

The revelation comes as the UAE positions itself as a global leader in AI adoption. OpenAI’s Sam Altman, speaking virtually from the US, praised the UAE’s approach to ensuring global AI accessibility.

“The UAE has been a wonderful partner for showing the world what’s possible here to ensuring that there is no AI divide,” Altman noted. “The UAE teaches you how to use it, to make it available everywhere, to have every country embrace it.”

Xiao emphasized that AI represents more than technological advancement—it’s a fundamental lifestyle transformation. He highlighted Abu Dhabi’s innovative government service application that consolidates over 1,000 services into a single ChatGPT-powered system, supporting communication in 90+ languages.

“AI is not just another technology that you can wait to deploy at the time of your choosing. AI is a new lifestyle we all have to now embrace,” Xiao declared.

This development aligns with broader UAE initiatives in technology and innovation, similar to recent startup ecosystem enhancements and blockchain integration projects.

Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan serves as chairman of G42, a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning artificial intelligence, data centers, space technology, and other cutting-edge sectors, positioning the UAE at the forefront of the global AI revolution.
