UAE Forecasts Fog and Potential Rain in Coming Days

The UAE is set to experience foggy mornings and potential rainfall over the next few days, according to a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Rising humidity is expected to create foggy conditions in coastal and inland areas, potentially affecting morning commutes, with a chance of rain in some parts of the country by Tuesday.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has attributed the upcoming weather pattern to weak surface pressure systems accompanied by a weak upper-level low-pressure system.

The forecast for the coming days is as follows:

  • Saturday: The weekend will start with humidity over some coastal areas, creating conditions for fog or light mist in the morning. Skies are expected to be clear to partly cloudy. Winds will be light to moderate, ranging from 10–20 km/h and reaching up to 30 km/h. Sea conditions will remain calm in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
  • Sunday: Similar conditions will prevail, with morning humidity and a chance of light fog in coastal and inland regions. There is a possibility of cumulus clouds forming over some eastern areas. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally becoming active with speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, gusting to 35 km/h.
  • Monday: The weather is expected to remain humid in the morning with a chance of light fog. Cumulus clouds may again appear over eastern areas. Winds will be southeasterly to northwesterly, with speeds between 10 and 25 km/h, reaching 35 km/h at times.
  • Tuesday: The forecast indicates a higher chance of convective clouds forming over some eastern and southern areas, which may be accompanied by rain. Morning humidity will persist, and winds will be light to moderate.

This forecast follows earlier periods of unstable weather this month, including heavy rain in the country’s eastern regions. Residents, particularly motorists, are advised to exercise caution during foggy conditions.
