EXPO 2020

Free entry to Expo 2020 in Dubai is possible for certain people. We will explain what exactly these are here and of course, you can save a lot of money by doing what you can imagine.

Free Entry to Expo 2020 in Dubai

Expo 2020 will take place until March 31, 2022, and it is the biggest event that has ever taken place there. They reckon with 25 million additional visitors and that is a lot. Now you probably wonder if you have to pay admission there at all. The answer is yes and you have to buy a ticket to visit. But the entrance fees are okay and any tourist can afford it.

Dubai Expo 2020

But of course, there is also the possibility that you can even watch the world exhibition for free. You surely like to hear that when you can look at something and don’t have to pay anything for it. In the Emirate of Dubai, there are many famous sights that are free of charge, such as the Dubai Fountain. It’s similar to the Expo, but you have to meet a few conditions.

Seniors from 60 Years

As you can already see, entry is completely free for seniors who are at least 60 years old. But of course, you also have to provide proof of age, for example with the ID card. That would be an identity card or passport where you can see how old you are. If this is the case you will get a free ticket.

Youngsters 6 to 17 Years

Then there is another category and that would be young people between 6 and 17 years of age. Usually, this is interesting for families with children of this age. But the parents would still have to buy a normal ticket. But then entry would be free for the children again and you have saved money on vacation.

Students

Of course, there are also many students in the United Arab Emirates and free entry to Expo 2020 in Dubai is also possible for them. There you can of course learn and experience a lot in the various pavilions. Thus, they do not have to pay anything as this can then be viewed more as advanced training.

People with Disabilities

There are also many people in the world who have a disability. For example, you have to use a wheelchair or walking aid. Admission is of course free for these people. As a rule, however, they are always dependent on accompanying persons and therefore they would have to buy a regular ticket. But the entrance fee isn’t that expensive.

Emirates Airline Passengers also Receive a Ticket

We always recommend flying to Dubai International Airport with the national airline Emirates Airline. There you have the best flight connections to Germany and several daily flights are possible. So if you book a flight to Dubai you will also receive a free ticket there as a passenger. But of course, you have to have a valid flight ticket for the time of the expo.

Work at a Pavilion at the Expo

You can certainly imagine that the pavilions of the 192 countries also need employees. This means that they have to be on-site at all times to look after them or to answer questions from visitors. Furthermore, these are usually always there and they do not have to buy a ticket.

Day Ticket Cost

If you don’t meet these criteria then you have to buy a normal day ticket. As already mentioned, the prices are okay and you pay 95 dirhams if you are between 18 and 59 years old. So it depends on age there too. It is also possible to buy a season ticket or a multi-day ticket if you want to see it more often.

Our Tip

Emirates Pavilion Expo 2020

There is a direct metro stop near the exhibition area where you can get off. Then it is only a few meters on foot and then you are already there. Of course, you can also use the car and park there. But of course, you have to continue walking there as Expo 2020 is very big. If you want to have it centrally then the Dubai Metro is certainly the best choice you can use.

World Exhibition Opening Times

You can visit the Expo any day of the week. The regular opening times are from Sunday to Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. You have a little more time for the visit from Friday to Saturday and then it is even open until 2:00 a.m. But on the weekend in Dubai, there are of course significantly more visitors than you can imagine. Our tip is to go there during the week where it is a little quieter.

Our Opinion

If you have the opportunity to get a free ticket then you should take advantage of this. Free entry to Expo 2020 in Dubai is certainly interesting for seniors. But the ticket prices are not that expensive and everyone can afford it who would like to see it.
