Dubai Launches Dh18.3 Billion Strategic Development Plan: Parks, Aviation, Education Transformations

During the UAE Annual Government Meetings 2025, Sheikh Hamdan revealed a series of ambitious initiatives designed to transform Dubai into the world’s most advanced and beautiful city. The comprehensive plan encompasses several key sectors, promising significant developments across multiple domains.

Public Parks and Greenery Strategy

The flagship Dh18.3 billion Public Parks and Greenery Strategy includes:

  • Over 800 projects across the emirate
  • 310 new parks and 120 open spaces
  • Goal to triple Dubai’s tree count
  • Target of 95 million annual park visits by 2040
  • Ensuring 80% of residents live within a five-minute walk of a park
  • 100% recycled water for irrigation

Aviation and Economic Development

The Aviation Talent 33 initiative aims to:

  • Create over 15,000 job opportunities
  • Offer 4,000 training programmes
  • Establish 30 strategic aviation partnerships
  • Increase Emirati participation in aviation leadership roles

Education and Future Readiness

The Affordable Schools Policy will:

  • Establish 60 new schools by 2033
  • Add approximately 120,000 student seats
  • Provide incentives for private-sector investment
  • Aim to rank among world’s top 10 cities for education quality
