Dubai Grants Golden Visa to 223 Educators: Recognizing Teaching Excellence

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has granted Golden Visas to 223 outstanding educators from private schools, universities, and early childhood centers. The initiative recognizes teachers’ critical role in shaping Dubai’s future on the eve of World Teachers’ Day.

In a landmark decision highlighting Dubai’s commitment to education, Sheikh Hamdan has awarded long-term residency to 223 distinguished teachers out of 435 applicants. The initiative represents a 51% selection rate, demonstrating the emirate’s rigorous standards for educational excellence.

The Golden Visa recipients represent diverse educational roles, including 157 educators from schools, 60 from universities, and 6 from early childhood centers. The selection criteria focused on professional qualifications, achievements, community contributions, and positive feedback from students and parents.

“Teachers and educators are the ones who light the way forward. They inspire, guide, and give our children the skills and confidence to succeed,” Sheikh Hamdan emphasized.

Special recognition was given to candidates who have:

  • Received national or international awards
  • Published research in recognized journals
  • Made exceptional impacts within their institutions

The initiative aligns with the Dubai Education Strategy, aiming to attract exceptional educators and promote lifelong learning. Applications for the second round of Golden Visas will open on October 15 and close on December 15, 2025.

This visionary approach underscores Dubai’s global leadership in education and its commitment to valuing and retaining top teaching talent.
