Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) and Keeta, the international arm of China’s delivery giant Meituan, have signed a partnership to launch a high-tech delivery service in Dubai. The collaboration aims to introduce faster, more sustainable last-mile solutions, with future plans including drones and autonomous vehicles.
Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has announced a significant partnership with Keeta, the international arm of Chinese delivery giant Meituan, to enhance and expand last-mile delivery services across the emirate. The agreement focuses on introducing faster, smarter, and more sustainable delivery solutions, with future plans incorporating drones and autonomous vehicles.
This strategic collaboration is a key component of DTC’s long-term vision to diversify its operations beyond passenger transport and solidify its presence in Dubai’s rapidly growing e-commerce and on-demand delivery sector. The initiative will launch with a fleet of 150 delivery motorbikes, set to increase to 500 by the end of 2025. The partnership is projected to generate Dh10 million in new revenue for DTC within the first year.
Dubai’s online delivery market is experiencing a significant boom. According to data from Statista, revenues from online food delivery in the UAE are expected to surpass Dh5 billion in 2025 and approach Dh6 billion by 2030. DTC’s own delivery business has shown remarkable growth, with its revenues in the second quarter of 2025 rising by 102% year-on-year to Dh18.2 million, supported by a fleet of over 2,000 delivery bikes.
“At DTC, we continue to strengthen our mobility and logistics solutions in line with Dubai’s vision for a connected and sustainable future,” said Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company. “Partnering with Keeta diversifies our services, maximizes fleet potential, and puts DTC at the forefront of next-generation logistics — from advanced delivery bikes to drones and autonomous delivery technologies.”
The collaboration will leverage Keeta’s global expertise and Meituan’s advanced technology to support the UAE’s digital logistics goals. Both companies will jointly explore AI-driven delivery systems, autonomous mobility, and drone-based logistics. This aligns with broader efforts to modernize Dubai’s taxi services and integrate cutting-edge technology into the city’s transport infrastructure.
“We are proud to partner with Dubai Taxi Company to bring Keeta’s global delivery expertise and Meituan’s advanced logistics technologies to the UAE,” stated Alex Wei, Logistics General Manager of Keeta Middle East. “This collaboration combines DTC’s strong local presence with our world-class innovation to build a smart, efficient, and sustainable delivery ecosystem.”
This venture marks a new chapter for DTC as it transitions from a traditional transport provider to a future-focused logistics company. The partnership reflects the strong performance of the UAE non-oil private sector, combining Dubai’s strategic advantages with world-class technology to position the emirate as a regional leader in smart logistics innovation.
