UAE President Launches Wristband for Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan became the first to wear the official wristband for the Open Masters Games, marking a significant milestone for the upcoming international sporting event in Abu Dhabi.

During the 22nd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) at ADNEC, the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 officially launched its event wristband, with the UAE President leading the way by being the first to wear it.

Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, emphasized the significance of the launch, stating, “The wristband represents a milestone in our preparations, reflecting the unwavering support of our wise leadership in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s status as a global sporting destination.”

The Games, scheduled from 6 to 15 February 2026, are set to welcome thousands of athletes competing in more than 30 sports. This will be the first time such a multi-sport event is hosted in the Middle East, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange and sporting excellence.

The wristband symbolizes unity and will accompany athletes, participants, and supporters as they prepare for this landmark event. It also underscores the UAE’s dedication to fostering community engagement and encouraging active lifestyles through sport.
