Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has initiated a comprehensive project to enhance road connections across 19 residential areas, aiming to improve traffic flow and safety for residents. The project, covering a total length of 11.5 kilometers, is scheduled for completion by the second quarter of 2026.
The project encompasses the construction of new roads, the expansion of existing ones, and the development of infrastructure to support sustainable transport modes.
Key residential areas targeted include Al Quoz 2, Al Barsha South 3, and Al Khawaneej 2.
This initiative is part of Dubai’s broader strategy to develop its infrastructure in line with the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, which focuses on sustainable urban development and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The RTA has a track record of successful infrastructure projects, including the Dubai Metro and the Dubai Water Canal, which have significantly improved the city’s transport landscape.
The current project is expected to enhance connectivity further and support the city’s rapid growth.
Upon the project’s completion, residents in the affected areas can anticipate improved road networks, reduced congestion, and enhanced safety measures.
The RTA continues to prioritize projects that support Dubai’s vision of becoming a global model for sustainable and innovative transportation solutions.
