Dubai to Launch Dh1.3-Billion Healthcare City Medical Complex

Dubai Healthcare City Authority has announced a massive Dh1.3-billion development plan featuring a LEED platinum-certified office building and a purpose-built medical complex. The first stage of Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) Phase 1 will transform healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) is set to revolutionize medical infrastructure with a significant Dh1.3-billion development plan. The project’s first stage will introduce two landmark facilities: a LEED platinum-certified office building and a cutting-edge medical complex.

Key Project Details

  • LEED Platinum Office Building:
    • Designed by P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd
    • Spans 13,000 square metres
    • Three basement levels and nine floors
    • Flexible office units and ground-floor commercial spaces
  • Purpose-Built Medical Complex:
    • Designed by Design and Architecture Bureau (DAR)
    • Covers 5,800 square metres
    • Two basement levels and five floors
    • Facilities include surgical areas, laboratories, diagnostics, outpatient services, medical offices, and support services

Strategic Vision

Issam Galadari, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, emphasized the project’s alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and UAE Net Zero Strategy 2050. The development aims to attract investments, foster innovation, and establish DHCC as a premier healthcare and wellness destination.

Additional Infrastructure

The project will also include multi-storey car parks with electric vehicle charging stations, Salik-integrated smart parking, and full accessibility features. These elements underscore the development’s commitment to sustainability and user convenience.

Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2025, with completion expected by November 2027. This strategic development represents a significant step in Dubai’s ongoing healthcare infrastructure enhancement.
