The Dubai Air Show featured 150 aircraft, from drones to commercial airliners, and, of course, the endless battle between Boeing and Airbus became a classic confrontation between these giants of the aircraft industry.
Dubai Air Show is also an important event for the corporate aircraft business. Honeywell International, which manufactures aerospace systems for a wide range of customers, predicts that up to 9,250 new business jets worth more than $400 billion will be delivered by 2023.
We made a list of the ten most expensive novelties on offer. According to July Gringuz, the owner of Novans Jets, the models of these business jets range from $38 million to $99 million. Prices can vary depending on discounts, features, and interiors.
The Boeing 3 business jet has already been officially introduced and can fly up to 6,000 nautical miles.
Based on the Boeing 737 commercial aircraft, the aircraft has a very large cabin. It has a living room, a staff area, a dining room, and a bedroom with a bathroom. The aircraft can carry 38 passengers and eight crew members, as well as 230 pieces of luggage.
According to experts, these large aircraft represent a much more specialized market because their size does not allow landing on small airfields.
The Airbus A319 is the closest competitor to Boeing Business Jet. It is also the highest business jet in the market, with a capacity of 18 to 30 people and a range of up to 5,900 nautical miles.
The aircraft is a corporate jet version of the Airbus A319, a shorter version of the commercial A320. The Emirates had previously received a nonactive version of the A319 and turned it into a luxury private jet that can be booked through their website. Executive Airbus A319 Airlines can accommodate 19 people with 10 separate suites, living room, and dining area.
Since its launch, Gulfstream has become incredibly popular with celebrities and billionaires. The aircraft can fly non-stop for eight passengers and four crew members at a distance of 7,000 nautical miles.
The Gulfstream G650 was in such high demand that super-wealthy owners began offering it to other buyers. Sellers make a profit of between $5 million and $7 million per flip. According to people familiar with the deal, billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, a Formula One mogul, recently transferred his G650 to an Asian businessman for a $6 million profit.
The Bombardier 7000 is similar to the cheaper 8000 model, which offers an impressive flight range of 7,300 nautical miles for 10 passengers in four-zone cabin space. The Canadian company knows that the main interest in the business aviation sector is in ultra-long-range aircraft.
Bombardier 8000 offers three separate residential areas. According to the company representatives, the three-zone layout of the salon was developed on the basis of a study of the needs of customers worldwide. This model can carry between 8 and 19 passengers.
The 8000 model can fly 7,900 nautical miles at 0.85 mach, opening up routes such as Los Angeles-Sydney or Hong Kong and Mumbai-New York. Bombardier states that the 8000 also sets a new fuel economy standard with the lowest fuel consumption and the lowest emissions in its class.

With a flight range of 6,250 nautical miles, the 6,000 are equipped with an improved cockpit compared to the aircraft it replaces, the Bombardier Global Express XRS.
6,000 is currently the top offer of a Canadian company and will be on display at the Dubai Air Show. It can carry eight passengers and a crew of four without stopping from Tokyo to Dubai, from Johannesburg to London, or from Moscow to Los Angeles.
The Gulfstream, the G550, is the market leader: it has sold 476 copies and has existed since about 2003.
The Gulfstream G550 comes with all the conveniences that every businessman expects from his personal aircraft: fax, wireless LAN, and satellite communications – all of these are standard. It also has a fresh air supply system which constantly fills the cab with fresh air 100%.
On the heels of Gulfstream and Bonbardier, French aircraft manufacturer Dassault is also hugely popular in the long-range business jet market.
According to the company’s engineers, the Dassault Falcon 7X is the only three-engine business jet in this price segment that has excellent parameters for small airfields.
Since their introduction in 2007, 215 aircraft have been built and remain popular despite slightly smaller cabin sizes than Gulfstreams or Globals.
The interior of the 7X was designed by BMW, with a walk-in shower, Blu-ray DVD player, and in-flight internet connectivity.
Embraer unveiled a new, modernized version of the Lineage 1000 called Lineage1000E at a convention of the National Aviation Association in Las Vegas. It can travel up to 4,600 nautical miles and can carry up to 19 passengers in five-passenger areas.
The executive director of Embraer called the new aircraft «home away from home» due to its comforts: seats and tables with electrical control, several ports and docking stations for the iPad, as well as lighting systems controlled with pocket gadgets. Up to five television sets can be installed in the cabin. In the largest part of the cabin, the third zone, you can place a 48-inch TV with five speakers of volumetric sound.
The new Falcon 5X is scheduled to fly its first flight in 2015. According to the manufacturer, business jets can fly up to 5,200 nautical miles.
Dassault assures that natural light will literally «pour» 5X, taking into account 28 windows, which «considerably more» than previous Falcon models. The windows are probably the main highlight of this model, and on the galley, there is a «skylight» to add more light to the cabin.
Buyers of these high-end jets usually have special design preferences, often inspired by their numerous homes, offices, and travels around the world. Often themes of yacht design owners are recreated on their private aircraft», – Dassault chief engineer tells.
It is also necessary to highlight the fact that almost everyone who has the opportunity to purchase an aircraft pays particular attention to the comfort and range of the jet.
Remember that safety and dimensions are equally important. Learn the details of your business jet to be sure of your choice.
