At the moment there are many similar promenades in the metropolis. These are, for example, the City Walk, La Mer, or Al Seef. But The Beach was one of the first to come out and this one is certainly the best. The big advantage is certainly the location. Because there are many tourists who want to stroll around, especially in the evening. This is exactly what is possible there with pleasant temperatures. You don’t have to go to an air-conditioned shopping mall where it’s cooler. The well-known Jumeirah Beach Residence is practically on the doorstep.

As already mentioned, there are a lot of shops there. Basically like in a big shopping mall in Dubai. Only that these are outdoors in a kind of pedestrian zone. You can find a lot of clothing stores. Of course, many international brands that you probably already know. Then there are several shoe shops and you can also buy children’s goods. If you need new swimming trunks or bathing suits, you can get them there too. But you can also find perfume shops and much more. You should plan enough time for a tour because it is very large.

A big part of The Beach is the restaurants and cafes. You can sit outside and watch the sunset while having dinner. But you should always try to get to a place early. Because the good seats with a great view are always occupied very quickly. You can get everything you can imagine from burgers to pizza there. International cuisine is also offered. Also an Asian kitchen. A highlight is certainly the Real Madrid Cafe. As a visitor, you should know that the prices are a bit higher there. You pay a lot more there than in any other restaurant. Because there are a lot of tourists there and that’s why the restaurants there can also charge more for a pizza, for example.
The regular opening times are from Sunday to Wednesday between 10:00 a.m. and midnight. You have a little more time at the weekend in Dubai from Thursday to Saturday. There you have an hour more time, from 10:00 a.m. to 01:00 a.m. at night. But since it is not a shopping mall where the opening times are the same for all shops and restaurants, they can vary there. That means it may be that something opens or closes earlier or later. But you can go there every day of the week.

The Beach in Dubai is located directly on the beautiful Jumeirah Beach. The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence is just across the street. So you can look at both at the same time. If you have booked a hotel nearby, such as the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach, then you are only a few meters away. But if you have a hotel near the Burj Khalifa then you should use a taxi. There is no Dubai Metro station nearby. You then have to go to Dubai Marina and then it’s a bit of a walk. You should avoid that there in the heat.

If you have a rental car then you can park it there. There is a large parking garage at The Beach. However, you have to pay a fee of 20 dirhams per hour there. By Dubai standards, this is very expensive. Normally you can park for free in the shopping malls. But due to the location, you have to pay something there. Tourists who just want to walk a little along the promenade also park there. Another option would be to use the Dubai Tram. But then you have to walk there again.
