The Visit to the Museum of Illusions in Dubai

The entrance to the museum

For tourists, there are numerous Dubai sights to choose from. But the Museum of Illusions is something special and you can try out for yourself how easy it is to fool your “brain”. Due to special illusions and tricks such as the use of several mirrors, the people suddenly appear smaller, although they are of course the same size.

You can try all of this for yourself there and a visit is particularly recommended for families with children. They will definitely have a lot of fun there. You have to take a closer look with your eyes whether this is still normal or whether you are being ripped off. The highlight is even the Vortex Tunnel, where you as a visitor have the feeling of floating, although this is not possible at all.

Location, Address, and How to Get to the Museum

Before visiting, you should of course find out exactly where the Museum of Illusions is actually located. It is located in Al Seef and that is the promenade right on Dubai Creek. There you will find numerous shops, restaurants and this is also a great location to end the day in the emirate. If you have a rental car you can park it there, for example, and there is always enough available.

As a rule, however, most tourists, especially those who are vacationing there for the first time, do not have a car. The best way to get there is by taxi from the hotel. The taxi prices are very cheap and there is also a central bus stop where you can get taxis if you want to go back to the hotel. But then please don’t be too late, then there won’t be anymore.

What Does the Entry Cost?

If you want to see it then you have to pay admission to the Museum of Illusions. So you need a ticket and this costs 80 dirhams for adults. For children between 5 and 15 years of age, entry is a little cheaper at 60 dirhams. Incidentally, entry is even free if you have children under five with you.

Souvenirs

Our tip is to buy a family ticket where you can save money. That means it is valid for two adults and two children. There you pay 225 dirhams. If you were to buy everything individually, you would have to spend a lot more money. Admission isn’t cheap, but it’s sure to be a lot of fun. We recommend doing this in one afternoon and staying for two to three hours.

Opening Times of the Museum of Illusions

The museum is open every day of the week, from Sunday to Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. At the weekend in Dubai, you have a little more time to visit.
