Developer’s Story

Meraas was founded in 2007, becoming a subsidiary of Dubai Holding Corporation. From the beginning, it has taken on the launch of several projects in different sectors, including food, entertainment, leisure, hospitality, retail, and healthcare. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum became the chairman of the organization.

Since its inception, Meraas has delivered no less than a whopping 80 million square feet of real estate, both commercial and residential. The company became one of the largest developers in the United Arab Emirates. Today Meeras already has a huge portfolio. It contains completed projects of various sizes.

The volume of projects sold by the developer Meraas is amazing. The company initiated the construction of more than 3,500 apartments in five districts of the city, 2,000 commercial properties, and 1,300 hotel rooms. Among the most popular projects are the following:

• Meraas Bulgari Residences. The luxury building is located in Jumeirah Bay on a private island. It consists of 165 apartments designed in a loft style with bedrooms ranging from 1 to 3. There are 15 mansions with two floors 6 bedrooms and 8 penthouses. The developer worked on the project together with Bulgari.

• Cherrywood Townhouses is a cottage community. Project location – Dubailand area. Two-story housing is available with two or four entrances, 3 or 4 apartments, a terrace, and covered parking. 800 apartments are provided. The backyard has its own front garden where you can relax and have a barbecue. On the territory, there is a gym, alleys, catering establishments, bicycle paths, and SPA salons.

• Nikki Beach. These residences will be truly appreciated by lovers of beach holidays and comfort. They are located almost on the shore – literally a few steps from the sea. The interior is designed in a minimalist style.

• Central Park. This is a residential development in City Walk, comprising two large roof terraces. Total area – 230,000 m². The apartments can be equipped with two or three bedrooms. The minimum area of each of them is 199 m².

In 2019, Dubai Harbor presented the Dubai Harbor facility. Dubai Harbor is located at the intersection of Bluewaters and Palm Jumeirah and is equidistant from Dubai International Airport and the new Al Maktoum Airport. This large marina can accommodate approximately 1,100 berths.

One of the developer’s latest works is the Ain Dubai Ferris wheel. The opening of which took place in 2021 and was timed to coincide with the Expo 2020 exhibition. It amazes with its scale, or rather, with a height of over 250 meters and the use of more than 900 tons of steel for the construction of the structure. In addition to 48 booths, it has a bar where you can even order dinner. The facility is located on Bluewaters Island. So far, this Ferris wheel holds the title of the tallest in the world.
