Love Lake Dubai

A particularly interesting attraction in Dubai is Love Lake Dubai. This is an artificially created lake that has the shape of two hearts. As one is used to from the Emirates it is of course spectacular again.

Visit Love Lake Dubai

The entrance to Love Lake in Dubai

As a tourist, you have probably heard of The Palm Jumeirah and that is the island in the shape of a palm tree. The Love Lake Dubai has also been made very beautiful and as you can see from the name is the shape of two connected hearts. There is of course something like this only in Dubai and it is worth taking a look at. You will definitely be amazed because you have never seen anything like it before.

Typically, most of the tourists go to the top Dubai attractions like the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall. There you also have the advantage that you can easily reach them. It is important to know that this lake is far from the city center, practically in the middle of the desert and you definitely need a car for it. But it is definitely worth going there. The heart shape can only be seen from a bird’s eye view.

Address and Location

As you have already learned, Love Lake Dubai is located in the middle of the desert. You cannot get there by public transport such as the Dubai Metro or a taxi. You probably wouldn’t find a taxi driver who would even go there. That’s why you need a rental car. We recommend simply renting a rental car in Dubai for a day and then this is also a nice destination to visit.

An overview plan

There are also other lakes in the area such as Flamingo Lake or the Al Qudra Lakes. You should take a look at them when you are already in the area. By the way, the lake is so big that you can even see it from space with the writing “Love” and that is awesome. The writing consists of many trees and you can only see that from a bird’s eye view.

Pay Admission

To visit Love Lake Dubai you don’t have to pay an entrance fee and you don’t need a ticket either. The Emirate of Dubai is not dependent on this income as it is very wealthy. That is why you will find numerous sights in the metropolis that you can also visit for free, such as the Dubai Fountain. So you don’t have to pay anything for it.

Opening Times

There are also no opening times that you have to adhere to when visiting. That means you can look at it whenever you want, 365 days a year, around the clock. But you have to know that there are more visitors on the weekend. It is then better to go there during the week and then it is an “oasis of calm” in the middle of the desert.

Can You Walk Around the Lake?

The Love Lake Dubai is of course not that big and you can easily walk around it. Furthermore, the water is not that deep and you can cool your feet there, especially in the hot months of summer. Many residents of Dubai also like to use this for jogging and barbecuing is also possible.

When is the Best Time to Visit?

Access by car

The best travel time for Dubai is of course the months from October to April. Then you have daytime temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees and then that’s ideal for visiting Love Lake Dubai. But in the summer months, a visit is not worthwhile because it is at least 40 degrees during the day. Since you are still in the desert, the temperatures rise again and you have to reckon with 50 degrees in the shade. If you want to do this then you should definitely have enough liquid with you.

There are Shops and Restaurants in the Area

Since you are practically in the middle of the desert, there are no shops, supermarkets, or restaurants where you can buy chilled drinks. So you always have to bring something with you if you want to have a barbecue there, for example. But in a good hour’s drive, you are there and you can do some shopping beforehand. So this is not a problem either.

Toilets

If you can’t buy anything there then you probably wonder if there are toilets because you might be there for a few hours. The answer is “yes” and there are toilets in the first parking lot. This is definitely very practical and you would need a longer time in the car before you can find one again. In our opinion, this has been solved very well there.

Do You Need an Off-Road Vehicle There?

As a rule, one does not rent an all-terrain vehicle (SUV) in Dubai. But at Love Lake Dubai you will find signs everywhere saying that an off-road vehicle is required. If you have one then this is definitely an advantage because you are in the desert. But you can also get to the lake in a normal car.

Our Opinion

A visit to Love Lake Dubai is definitely recommended and definitely a highlight of your Dubai vacation. This is of course something completely different from modern skyscrapers, shopping malls, and luxury hotels. It’s a “place of rest” and that’s why it’s so great. But it is always important that you have a rental car. Otherwise, you won’t get there.
