When planning a beach holiday in the United Arab Emirates, Saadiyat Island is a wonderful place to consider for your vacation. Read our article and draw your own conclusions about whether you want to go on a beach holiday here or not.
Saadiyat Island is an island in Abu Dhabi. Saadiyat Island has three main advantages. Firstly, the island’s beaches have open access to the sea. The water is in constant flow, although this applies to all Abu Dhabi beaches. There are no bulk islands on the horizon; the other shore is not visible.
Secondly, the island itself is connected to the city of Abu Dhabi by a bridge so that it is very easy to get from hotel to city or from city to hotel. If you go by taxi, it will take 10 minutes. In addition, there is a bus service between the island and the city.
Absolutely every hotel on the island is five-star. The resorts are located on the first line, and each hotel also has its own beach area. Saadiyat Beach spans eight kilometers in length. Just think about how much time it takes to get from one end to the other.

Paid entrance and sun loungers. If you are not a resident of one of the hotels on Saadiyat Island, then entrance to the beach will be paid for you, namely 35 dirhams or 10 dollars per person. For children, prices are half lower, respectively 20 dirhams or 5 dollars. Please note that the entry price does not include sun loungers and umbrellas and will incur an additional charge.
In order to relax on this beach with a sun lounger and umbrella, you need to purchase an All-inclusive ticket, which costs 70 dirhams or 20 dollars.
Important! Get ready to pay 95 dirhams for Saadiyat Beach tickets on weekends (Friday to Sunday).
The sand on the beach is white, and walking on it is quite pleasant and soft. However, walking barefoot can be uncomfortable as the sand is too soft, so it’s recommended to wear flip-flops or beach shoes. The most important feature of sand is that it does not heat up.
The sea has all the points that a sea near an island should have:
There is literally nothing on the coastline, just a lifeguard tower and a lot of sun loungers and umbrellas. There is a cafe near the entrance to the beach, but in appearance, it looks more like a fast food stall that sells water, coffee, a couple of types of ice cream, and a few simple dishes such as pizza, burgers, and hot dogs. While on the beach, guests can’t have a full meal, but hotel guests may dine at a seaside restaurant. In addition, the beach has a free bathroom, showers, and changing rooms.

Lifeguards on the beach work as expected, according to all the rules. They constantly monitor what is happening, no one is prohibited from lying on their towel, and umbrellas can be rented if desired. Toilets, showers, lockers for things – according to all the rules of convenience for visitors.
After lunch, the number of people increases, and a small queue forms at the entrance. However, the beach is so vast that it hardly feels crowded. Everyone will find their own corner and piece of free space on the Persian Gulf coast.

The parking lot is small, located along the road. The earlier you arrive, the closer to the beach the place will be. On weekends, after two o’clock there are almost no free places for a car. It is not entirely known whether it is possible to park in front of the hotels.
One of the disadvantages is the lack of shade. There is not a single tree on the shore, there is only a wide, long beach. This is the case everywhere in this region – due to the peculiarities of the climate.
The area is still uninhabited, and unfinished. Everything on the hotel grounds is excellent, clean, and well-maintained. A road has been built, but the area lacks shops, restaurants, and people.
Holidays on Saadiyat Island can offer only beach and hotels. For shopping and entertainment, you should go to Abu Dhabi, fortunately, it is very close.
