For the Burj Khalifa visit, you need a ticket which you should reserve in advance. As a visitor, you can visit various viewing platforms. Here we explain what exactly these are and what you have to spend on them.
The tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa is of course one of the most visited attractions in the city. Every tourist would like to look down there. But you can certainly imagine that this is not possible. Therefore, the Burj Khalifa visit is only possible at certain times. This means that only a certain number of people are allowed to be on the various viewing platforms.
We, therefore, recommend doing this beforehand so that you don’t have to worry about anything. A ticket is significantly more expensive directly on site. Furthermore, it may well be that there is no longer a free date available. So you can’t look at the building. Therefore you should reserve the Burj Khalifa ticket early. As already mentioned, the demand is so great that you can’t even cope with the number of visitors. Therefore a visit is only possible at certain times. You can choose this yourself when you buy the ticket online. Furthermore, there are Prime Hours and Non-Prime Hours. A few years ago this was not the case and a ticket cost the whole day.
In the meantime, you have to spend more money on entry at certain times. These are, for example, between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. There you have the advantage that you can still take pictures during the day and also at night. Therefore, this time is of course much more popular than the others you can imagine.
If you have a ticket you have to go to the entrance in the Dubai Mall. This is located in the shopping center and not in the building itself. But everything is very well signposted and it will be easy to find. The entrance for the Burj Khalifa tour is on the ground floor of the shopping center.
You have to hand in your ticket there. It is very important here that you are only allowed to come at the time you have registered for. If you come before then you will be turned away again. So it is very important that you keep the times. For example, you bought a ticket for 5:00 p.m. Then you should be there a few minutes beforehand.

The ticket for the Burj Khalifa tour just has to be handed in at the entrance. However, it is also important that you have an ID with you. This must be shown. If you don’t have one then you will likely be turned away again. Because security is very important in such a building.
There are also security controls, just like at the airport. That means you are not allowed to take any prohibited items with you to the viewing platform. You have to stick to it in any case so that you don’t get any problems. But it is not a problem to take a photo or video camera with you. After all, you also want to take beautiful photos.
When you are done with the security check then you can walk towards the elevator. There are different elevators there. But you can only get into the elevator where you bought the ticket for it. For example, there is a different elevator for the At the Top viewing platform than for At the Top Sky.
During the journey, there is always an employee in the elevator and you don’t need to press anything. There is also a small interactive show in the elevator with music where you are already attuned to the visit. Everything is well done and you are excited about the Burj Khalifa visit which will take place in a few minutes.
Several viewing platforms are available for visitors to visit the Burj Khalifa. These differ in height. But the most visited is certainly At the Top where there is also a nice large outdoor area where you can take great photos. The viewing platform At the Top Sky is a little higher where you have a better view. But there you have to spend more money on the ticket. In principle, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to spend the money or not.
Usually, you have 30 minutes to visit the Burj Khalifa. That means you have made an appointment for, for example, 5:00 p.m.
Then you can stay up there until 5:30 p.m. It is not strictly controlled how long you stay there. But you are not allowed to stay there for a few hours. As a visitor, you should therefore also adhere to the visiting hours.
When you are done with the Burj Khalifa tour you can take the elevator back down. You don’t have to wait long there and there are always lifts going up and down. So this is not a problem. Furthermore, only a certain number of visitors are allowed in an elevator. But this is very large and there is enough space for visitors.

The most important question is of course how to get to the Burj Khalifa as quickly as possible. In our opinion, the easiest way is to use the Dubai Metro and get off at the Dubai Mall / Burj Khalifa stop. However, you then have to walk a few meters. Because the entrance for the Burj Khalifa tour is in the shopping center.
