If you want to visit the viewing platform you need a ticket. It is always best to reserve this online beforehand. The operator has arranged this in such a way that you have to decide on a specific time and day. This means that you can only take the elevator up at these times.

Otherwise, the rush of visitors would simply be too big and so you can control this. There are also Non-Prime Hours and Prime Hours. There are times that are more popular with visitors and there you have to pay more money for a ticket. The prime hours are, for example, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. At this time you have the advantage that you can still take photos during the day and also at night. You can also see the sunset there.
Usually, the tickets are always given out every 30 minutes. That means if you buy a ticket for 6:00 p.m., for example, you can stay until 6:30 p.m. Then you should leave the viewing platform again. But it is not controlled that closely and you can stay there a little longer. But you should know that there are always new visitors coming and taking the elevator up. So you shouldn’t overdo it over time and then leave it at the top again. There is also security personnel up there who looks exactly how long you are there.
Burj Khalifa ticket
A ticket for adults costs 135 dirhams during the non-prime hours. These are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. Children between 4 and 12 years pay 100 dirhams for a ticket. But if you want to drive up to the Prime Hours between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. then adults have to pay 210 dirhams. That is then much more than at the other time. For the children, it is a little cheaper with 170 dirhams. So everyone has to decide for themselves how much money they want to spend on At the Top.
Usually, it is enough to buy a normal ticket. You are then there at the desired time and can then take the elevator to the top. Usually, you don’t have to wait long there. But if this takes too long then there is the Fast Track Ticket for At the Top. That means you can get to the top even faster. There are different elevators that you can use. There you have to spend more money than you can imagine. A ticket costs around 300 dirhams there and the only difference is that you get to the viewing platform a little faster.
The tallest building is of course specially protected and if you want to enter this as a visitor you have to go through the security controls. First, you have to hand in the ticket at the counter. They then also want to see an ID. It is sufficient there if you show your identity card. If you don’t have an ID card with you, you may be rejected again. Then it goes straight to the security controls. It is similar to the airport and it is checked whether you have something forbidden with you. When you pass there you go to the elevators and you can go up.

For the photos, you should use the At The Top viewing platform on the 124th floor, where the outside terrace is also located. There you have the opportunity to take very nice photos. However, there is also a pane of glass there. But there are always a few places where these are not. Then you can take photos of the skyline or a souvenir photo.
The elevator ride only takes a few minutes. During the ride, there is an interactive show in the elevator with music and a picture show. Furthermore, you can always see which floor you are currently on. The fastest elevators in the world take you up there, so it doesn’t take very long. When you have arrived then the viewing platform comes right away. You can stay there for around 30 minutes and then you can take the elevator back down. There is also a souvenir shop where you can buy a souvenir of your visit to the Burj Khalifa.

It is also very important that the entrance to At the Top is located at all. Usually one assumes that it is in the Burj Khalifa itself. But the entrance is in the Dubai Mall. That means you have to go to the mall. There it is, however, very well signposted and this is on the lowest floor.
